Take your app and your coding skills to the next level with LTZ’s next Code Kitchen.

One of LTZ’s chief developers, Michael Ziray, will be holding another Code Kitchen for iOS and Mac development. This will be a hands-on, code intensive workshop geared towards programmers interested in starting with the iOS SDK or developers who have an app that want to extend their capabilities with more complex functionality. Michael has been developing applications in Apple’s Cocoa framework and Objective-C for over 8 years and has become an authority in the area of mobile, web and desktop application development. He will be throwing all his knowledge and experience at you during these sessions, so come prepared.

iPhone Development Overview – Quick introduction to iOS, the Cocoa Touch Framework and the Objective-C language
Views – Overview of all the most common views in Cocoa Touch
Core Data – Apple’s light weight but powerful in-app database framework
Networking – Connecting to servers with iOS devices
Graphics and Core Animation – Making simple but elegant animations within your apps
Core Location – Locating your user and your app with location services such as GPS
Consuming data – XML and other consumable data
Creating content – saving files, file sharing with iTunes

  • Firm understanding and experience in OOP and design patterns
  • Basic understanding of how databases work
